New Trick!

Today Lily went for her 6 month checkup (she has the bandaid to prove it). She is 15.6 lbs. and 27 inches long. Her doctor suggested for us to try introducing her to a "sippie cup". All I did was hand it to her and she grabbed it and turned it straight up for a drink! She is a genius...

A Hike in the Park

In honor of MLK weekend, Zack had a dream...to take us on a hike in Sinks Canyon State Park. The weather was absolutely beautiful this weekend and I did think some fresh air would be nice. I sincerely tried not to whine and decided to attempt. I have to say it was really fun...even though I can't move right now. Here we are ready for the challenge. We packed Lily up in this handy dandy backpack and we were on our way...
I made it to the top (well close enough to the top)!

How cute is this?

The view was certainly worth it. After all the hard work, Lily was ready for a nap.

6 months...and naked

At 6 months old, Lily found a new passion...being naked. Do these socks clash?

In public, some clothes are necessary. "Hey Sawyer, don't go to the deep end."

The nightly routine of splashing in the bathtub. We love this little girl, clothes or no clothes.

A quick trip to Casper, WY

We traveled a couple of hours to Casper, WY (aka "the big city") to do a little shopping. Amanda needed some retail therapy. Casper is in the middle of the state where the Great Plains meet the Rockies. Here is a picture of the sun going down on our way home. This is our local airport (Riverton, WY). What you see is the whole baggage claim area--there's a guy behind the plastic sheet who throws your bags out one at a time. By the way, the airplane that gets you here seats 19. At least they have nice local decor on the walls. Its pretty much my favorite airport.

After looking long & hard for Lily a pair of authentic moccasins, a good friend hand made these for her. This is her modeling them for you.

Here are the mountains around Casper. I think its much more beautiful on our side of the state, but Casper does have a mall...

Back in Wyoming

While driving through the National Elk Refuge last month, we ran into a herd of buffalo. They surrounded our car in thier migration from one side of the road to the other. I planned to wrestle one to the ground, but I had to work the next day. New years day about 15 miles south of our house. We've had a good bit more snow this weekend.

Another pic south of town on Jan 1. While we were in Alabama for the Christmas holidays, there was a Wyoming town about 100 miles west of us that had record low temperatures--negative 60 degrees! It doesn't get that cold here...I don't think...

Our favorite house in this little town. Its about 7 blocks away from where we live.
